Do you think the NBA is fixed?

It looks like on some play-off games are extended . These are professional players playing some games that they cant score many points. Its not like the height of the basket was moved. And the next game they light up the scoreboard. Hmmmm....

I don't think its fixed as in point shaving or anything like that but if you gamble at all on NBA, you will see things that happen EVERY time with specific refs, O/U going over all the time with some refs or vice versa, one team being 12-1 when that ref is on the game (somehow that ref getting put on the game last night)...I think there could be notes that go out and say extend series as much as possible not saying who should win but get series to this many games.

I think it's fixed to some degree this is the most artificial 7 game series I've ever seen calling offensive fouls on a trip up on a screen as a 6th foul, offensive fouls in the no charge zone of the paint, Bird man should have been ejected for his antics in game 5 but it isn't until heat clinch the W that what he did was so bad it warrants a one game suspension after the fact in the next game. I'd wager if the Heat lost that game they wouldn't have punished him after the fact to try and milk this series to 7 games either way. It's just too much!

While I don't believe games are "fixed", I do believe the referees intentionally lay off Lebron James. Watching his games over and over, there are too many missed calls to deny that. The fact that he went several games this season without committing a foul is enough evidence. Everyone commits fouls, and nobody is so good not to. I'm sorry, but Lebron is not Jordan. Not saying he's not close, but Jordan committed fouls and carried his team of mostly role players (with the exception of Pippen) to multiple championships. I wasn't the biggest Jordan fan during his career either. BUT, Lebron gets a free pass on many occassions. I don't think it's necessarily intentional, because it's possible the referees are just in awe of his game, but it still happens. The "fix" is not in by Stern, BUT he's definitely not calling out his referees for their missed calls either.

The above is a rare, rational comment on these boards. You do realize that if Stern was fixing games, he would be committing a serious federal felony, right? And the refs, league officials and owners that were going along would also be guilty. How many people is that?

64%!!! That is ridiculous. I'm sure the NBA wanted small market teams to succeed and for New York to be irrelevant for a decade!
