The ACLU person says some may find the ad "hurtful" or "outrageous?" Cry me a river. Give that whine to the thousands of Palestinians who've been murdered, maimed, had their homes destroyed and seen their kids shot in their heads by Israeli cowards, liars and thieves.

t glover - yesterday. "this is just a "legal" way of being anti-Semitic." Is that right, how come there isn't even a word for being anti-Arab or anti-Palestinian. No-one who supports Palestine is anti-semitic, we are anti-Zionist, anti-occupation, anti-apartheid, anti-genocide. Do some homework mate. Viva Palestina & Free Gaza. Many prominent Jews around the world are part of the BDS movement & anti-occupation. Are they anti-semitic ?

"only democracy", huh? Ask the Palestinians pushed out of their homes, or the Arab Israelis, about that. They are discriminated against and there is even talk of "transferring" them. Israel is not the goody goody state people like Jerry seem to think. It is a vicious aggressive racist system that has bought its "democracy" at the expense of another people. Why should surrounding Arab states accept this, this colonization by Europeans? The "terrorism" that Israel suffers is simply blowback from people who lost their homes, culture, livings, property and rights at the hands of Zionists, or their children. Israel wants peace, but will pay no price for it, so peace means complete victory, the possession of the whole of Palestine, the dispossession of all Palestinians forever. That's hardly a peace agenda. Don't be duped by these dissemblers and deceivers. Everything you think you know about the Zionist state is a big fat lie.

Israel is a democracy for Jews only, so it is just chutzpah to claim it's a democracy. Criticism of Israel's apartheid policies have nothing to do with Judaism, so they can not be antisemitic. To claim otherwise is just the same old same old hasbara we have become accustomed to. Boycott Israel. End the illegal occupation and colonization of Palestine.

A European reporter questions South African Member of Parliament, Kenneth Meshoe on the charge that Israel is an apartheid state. MP Meshoe provides a very clear picture of why there is no comparison between the Palestinians and the South Africans in this issue. The exchange took place at a press conference on October 31, 2011 during the IIACF Chairman's Conference in Budapest Hungary.

That's interesting, because South Africans have recently called for Israel to be kicked out of the “Kimberley Process” - a regulatory mechanism that monitors "blood diamonds," based in part on the fact that the situation in Israel has been found to resemble the internationally recognized crime of apartheid. The statement they released includes this passage: “In 2007, respected South African human rights expert and former United Nations (UN) Special Rapporteur John Dugard, delivered a formal assessment to the UN General Assembly of Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territories noting that ‘elements of the occupation constitute forms of colonialism and of apartheid, which are contrary to international law.’” You can read the full statement here: http://bit.ly/11VMEIa and there’s a petition supporting it here: http://chn.ge/11ktTZY

According to Yaakov Kirschen in "Memetics and the Viral Spread of Antisemitism through ‘Coded Images’ in Political Cartoons" there are two varieties of Dehumanising Antisemitic Image Codes, the Demonising and the Zoomorphic. The purpose is to prevent others from empathy towards Jews.

This image manages to combine both. One of the most common is to present the Jew as a spider. The skull, fangs and devoured skulls and bones are self explanatory.

An outspoken brave Muslim voice, Raheel Raza was asked to boycott President Shimon Peres upcoming conference in Jerusalem.

    Her response?

"No one speaks about BDS of Saudi Arabia, where the list of human rights violations is endless. Where were their voices? Or Pakistan, with religious minorities facing persecution and violence against women? No one asked me to cancel my trip to Pakistan… Like me, you have to accept that Israel has a right to exist. It is not the only conflict related to Muslims. If you want justice for those facing criminal human rights violations, then speak out against Sudan, Egypt, Burma, China, Iran and all other countries who regularly persecute their own citizens.
Meanwhile I'm packing for Israel and counting the days. My friends there have grown in number, and I plan to have a wonderful time in that beautiful nation."

Jerry is absolutely correct. The bottom line is that the state of Israel and the Jewish people have never been accepted around all these Arab Countries but the real fact is that the State of Israel is the only Democracy in the Middle East and is there to stay. Israeli Hospitals care for sick Palestinian children. Israeli Palestinians have the same rights as Israeli citizens. In Israel you can find Christian Churches, Islamic Mosques and every other religion. Where do you find Synagogues in Saudi Arabia? There is freedom of expression and freedom of Religion. The fences around were the best idea to prevent "Martyrs" to blow themselves up and kill women, children and in the process kill their own people like it happened in the last revolt.

The Boycott Israel (BDS) movement has been exposed as completely hypocritical even by those who are anti-Israel such as Norman Finkelstein over a year ago. His main argument is that the boycott movement on the one hand challenges the legality of Israel's policies in the disputed territories but in the same breath they (the boycott movement) supports the elimination of Israel (whose existence is wholly legal). He chides them for being two faced and not being honest that they want Israel to be destroyed while trying to use legal sanctions against Israel.

FIRST of all, the West Bank & Gaza are not part of the sovereign State of Israel and are governed by the Palestinian Authority, so they cannot be compared to the internal policies of apartheid South Africa, & notice that restrictions are only imposed on those territories by Israel for reasons of security: To stop and deter the dozens of suicide bombers who have, due to freedom of movement, succeeded in entering any city in Israel to explode themselves on numerous public buses, shopping malls, restaurants, hotels, night clubs frequented by teens, open markets, bus stops and other public places that facilitated the murder of hundreds of civilians, regardless of age, sex, religion or nationality.
“I will never allow a single Israeli to live among us, on Palestinian land.”
Mahmoud Abbas to Egyptian media on July 28, 2010 – now that’s what I call apartheid

How can Israel accurately be called an apartheid state since Israeli laws guarantee Arab citizens of Israel the same rights as all other Israeli citizens without distinction of race, creed or sex. They have freedom of movement and the same use of all services the country provides. There are Arabic congressmen, judges, an Arabic Miss Israel, Arab players on all the Israeli national teams - even Arab ambassadors & in parliament.
Aparthied was the mantra of the Drebin Conference - a collection of Israel demonizers and anti-semites.
