White Walls on a P4?

Hi there, the car on the photo is mine, a LHD 1954 90. I was in two minds about the whitewall crossplies at first but I've grown used to them and now find them rather pretty. Just a matter of habit, it seems. The picture was taken by the seller in Sweden where it originally came from. I'm currently installing flashing indicators so I will be able to register it in Austria. I've also fitted a 'new' rear bumper to get rid of the ugly dent to the right so the rear end looks a bit different now.

I ticked - "No thanks - looks terrible", but that isn't quite true. In my opinion, the P4 with thin white-walls looks good. But, that's not the way Rover supplied them, so the answer has to be - "No thanks".

When they (White Walls) are clean ,it shows some pride in the vehicle.

At times, it also brings out or high lights the "colour" of the car.

    Then....... to each his own.
