I agree that urquell turns skunky. if you find in the cardboard twelve pack it is protected from light. Light does not quickly spoil beer in green bottles, i think heat can be the culprit. None of these beers is the best pilsen style. I like radeberger or bitberger. There are so many from Germany if you can find them. Unfortunately, i moved from Chicago to Birmingham Ala. hard to find any german beers here.

The skunky taste in your Czech Pilsner, or any other beer stored in a green bottle, is caused by being light struck. Pilsner Urquell out of can is a tremendous beer, and has a clean, crisp taste with no skunky smell or taste.
