Who would win in a seven-game series?

Assuming both teams were healthy, and by strength of goaltending alone, I would give the Kings the edge in the fantasy game. The 2013 Hawks were pushed to the brink by an inexperienced Wings team, while the 2012 Kings steamrolled past every opponent, gaining 3-0 series leads in each series. The 2012 Kings went 16-4 in the playoffs, for God's sake...no one, even a fancy-pants Hawks hockey/ballet squad could not stop the "White Death" Road Warrior 2012 L.A. Kings!

I would say kings in 6 also and buzz you must be a hockey idiot. LA had a much more physically grueling playoffs this year playing probably two of the biggest and most physical teams in their prior 2 series. St. louis and San jose are a probably 2 of the hardest forechecking teams in the NHL and they all have the size to make for a extremely tough series and the kings pulled those two series out. Chicago on the other hand played Minne in the first round who was a fairly new team who is not as physical and not as big as either of the teams LA played and then they obviously almost were eliminated by a fairly new detroit red wings despite inching out of that series. LA was the far more banged up and much more injured and fatigued team. Chicago was probably the most healthy team in all the playoffs in my opinion. So i think if you had a fully healthy La kings even in the 2013 playoff series vs a fully healthy chicago La would make it a much more tough and physical series for chicago and i would still say kings in 6

Brandon and bob are hockey idiots. L.a.did nothing to impress this year. Hawks showed who was superior.

Kings in 6. Brandon makes some very valid points in his assessment. The Hawks this year were not as fast as LA last year and LA's defense was monumental next to Quicks stellar performance. LA was relentless on the forecheck and made it very difficult for teams to get through the neutral zone. LA's size ,speed, and tenaciousness on the forecheck make them the clear and obvious choice. LA will be back next year and will be a solid contender.

Kings in 6. Kings may have been same team, however... They were healthier/hungrier/and faster last year. They seem burnt out. The kings had a pretty rough defense last year with Willie Mitchell in lineup as well. This team, I feel was no where as hungry as last year. Chicago played in a game 7 this year while the kings played only 1 game 6 last year. The contest, for most part was close with some games getting out of hand.
