Petty's assessment is true. Patrick drives race cars, but that doesn't make her a contender. She's a cute piece of azz, and a good marketing gimmick for GoDaddy, nothing more. Her employers didn't hire her to win races, plain and simple. Dale Jr. is a popular and active driver, so of course he's going to take the diplomatic road and say she's out gunning a lot of guys. While a whole lot of real drivers outgun her.

I believe Petty is feeling a bit nervous about his competition. Whether he likes it or not she's racing and he's just going to have to deal with it or hang onto her bumper. Maybe his manhood is a stake by possibly one day getting beat by a girl.

Whether she wins a race or ever gets in the top 10 and whether Mr Petty likes it or not, she IS a race car driver. And Mr Petty seems awfully PETTY to me. He just dropped about 25 notches in my respect and opinion. Until he apologizes, I will not root for him.
