While surprising, I don't know that it is all bad. Glad two people were saved right off. Maybe finding out that you are out immediately is preferable to waiting for two hours. Both eliminated dancers danced very well but I think the results were somewhat predictable. The show needs to keep someone on besides contemporary dancers. I appreciate the judges having final say at the beginning because we've seen some great people voted off .

It is going further down hill. The results should still have it's separate night. At least if the results were in the last part of the show their performance THAT SHOW would help influence the judges. Gone now are the goodbye montages the dancers deserve.

Agree that new approach is terrible and so discouraging to the well-deserved contestants. 1)Not Fair-wrong dancers eliminated 2)So obvious Nigel chooses based on genre in hopes to add variety to show 3)Unfair to get incompetent choreographer 4)Many choreography too similar to past seasons and overused 5)Intense drama and impact should not be overused-otherwise, unfair to dancers with simpler themes.

This article is not exactly accurate. The bottom three girls and the bottom three guys did not have to wait until the end of the show to find out their fate. Right after the bottom three were announced Nigel stated which girl and which guy were automatically saved without having to "Dance for Their Life". The remaining four dancers did dance for their life and two dancers were told that they would be eliminated. Now here's the really cruel part . . . the two dancers that were eliminated near the beginning of the show still had to perform with their partners who were still actively competing in the show. What the . . . What happened to giving a person time to grieve. One of the great aspects of having the dancers eliminated at the end of the show is the gathering of the other dancers around them offering their love an support. I say "shame on you So You Think You Can Dance" for being so cold hearted!
