I like crumbling corn bread into chili and eating iit with a spoon :)

If it is Southern cornbread, you can eat it with your fingers, because it is not ever made with flour and sugar, so it is not likely to fall apart and leave crumbs in your lap, on the table, and in the butter. At least, that is how my grandmother's was. Cornmeal, salt, baking soda, baking powder, eggs, oil, and buttermilk. Deeelicious. Along with sweet tea. Especially as a bedtime snack, eaten cold and crumbled in some buttermilk, preferably in a drinking glass.

Of course, you did not mention whether syrup and butter was involved. That makes all the difference in the world. I would really get wacko and use the soup spoon with syrup and butter.
