yes India should learn from china and other countries how to punish on corruption.mostly nations are strict towards any crime and they takes immediate action and gives punishment according to crime.thats why in other countries corruption problem is low .but in india our nation is full of crime , corruption and bribery.first of all india's system is very poor it should be improve and should take right decision at right time without any favourism. In this way i think we can minimise corruption and other crimes

Corruption by Indians is rape of the motherland. Extermination of those indulging in this cancer is the only solution. It is our corrupt who ensure that children sleep hungry in our country, that our women get raped regularly etc. I live in China. The Chinese ridicule Indians because of the rape issues etc. I feel ashamed.

In India, enforcement of laws is the problem. That includes mechanisms to detect (independent audits, Lokpal etc) and prevent (whistleblower protection etc.)

Death penalty for corruption cases is not in line with our ethos and is unnecessary, provided we strengthen law enforcement.

My vote in 2014 will go to whosoever presents a plan to double or triple law enforcement and judiciary.

I would go even steps forward and suggest for awarding still harder punishment . First it must not be suspended one . Must be executed immediatey in full public view with the utmost publicity .particularly to the public servants including netas (read ,thieves robbers , traitors etc ) .As illegitimately acquired wealth is benefited by the family members of the corrupts , the family members also fully qualify for strongest punishment . They are and should be responsible to vehemently oppose and resist indulging into corrupt practices by their near and dear ones .In case they fail to prevail to desit ,they have the duty and resonsibiliy to report to the competent authorities and print and e-media .Will the family members let their near and dear ones to commit suicide ? Wife must be awarded same punishment and the offspring sent to concentration and correction cleansing .All the gainers must undergo severe examplery detterent punishment that none even dare imagine for doing any type of corruption .

If India wants to progress and march ahead it should follow the chinese example. Failing to do so will result in spread of insurgency of Naxal like movemets. If Govt cannot take any action against high profile corrupt leaders people fed up with lot of committees under some (Retd.) judges, it is asking rather inviting others to do so. Like a paralysed person who knows every thing but can not take any action. Had India been a true democratic / communist / Islamic state action should have been taken. At present it seems it is land where law or constitution do nt play any role. Examples of Egypt and Pakistan are there . Only the people of the land can bring the change and 2014 is the chance not to miss it.

Corruption and poor or nil governance in India has reached Himaliyan heights. The disease has spread so much and is spreading so fast with no let up in the same.Chopping off the heads of at least those who are found having indulged in major corruption during past five years is the least this nation should do and demand.

Oh, by the way,who has allowed the country to rot so much in every aspect of its governance must be understood. Rot starts from the top.

We, the Nation, do require exactly similar punishment for all the people who are convicted for Corruption. The need of the hour is (1) complete investigation in reported corruption cases within the pre-determined time frame; (2) adjudicate the legal process very promptly and award the life imprisonment forthwith. We shall witness the fall in corruption exponentially.

We must learn from any country whatever is good for the people at large. Capital punishment in China for a former Minister who indulged in corruption will act as a deterrent in my view. China acquired freedom two years later than India but hard work and control on corruption, has made China very powerful Nation.
