Should the Oilers sign Sam Gagner or Mikhail Grabovski

Omgosh trade this piece of rubbish. It was too funny last year him playing with Yakupov. He was carrying the puck and not passing and trying to play better than Yakupov when he doesn't have even near the amount of skill that Yakupov has. He's small, he doesn't have a one timer for power play use. He's not a playmaker, nor a grinder. I don't know what he is? a Dangler? He can't even dangle with that short stick. They need to trade him for a big quality centreman.

They should try and get Ryan Johansen from the Jackets and maybe a pick or something. Even trade him for a Sean Couturier and a pick. Jeez There are so many players in the NHL that are even prospects, and/or making and asking for way less money. Oilers, MacTavish, stop wasting your time on this guy, he is a 3rd line filler centre on a contending team. You can find a better building block.

Sign Sam g., if his under 5, and if his more than it makes sense to sign Grabovski, and trade Sam, but only if u get a 1st round pick or a high prospect center in return, if not stick with Sam he is a winner. Ps. I always believe if a player does not give u 25plus goals they r not worth over 5million in today's market.

My concern with Gagner is his behavior in forcing arbitration and holding the Oilers hostage all the time. He plays pretty soft and is easily pushed off the puck, loses most board battles and never seems to me to take charge and a make difference. However to be fair it's hard to come up with a team more soft overall than the Oilers. This team has been almost completely devoid of emotion, compete, finish and toughness. Keeping Gagner for 3-5 more years doesn't address those issues even if he does have an offensive upside. That's why it might make sense to take a chance on Grabovski and trade Gagner plus other assets to address major holes in the lineup. Offensively the two appear equal defensively Grabovski may have an advantage and it frees Gagner as a tradeable asset. Plus if Gagner is going to be a constant source of irritation with his contract demands, that's something the team could do without. Of the "young guns" to me Gagner and RNH would be the attractive pieces I'd consider trading to improve the team defensively.
