I would like to see that very same poll question be asked on a counter-point story or column. Tricky, tricky. Or maybe on the homepage before you slam us with opinion. Either way good story. Lol

Love the poll results thus far (16 games / 2 preseason. Hey Todd, I'd pay the same season ticket price to NOT be subjected to 4 preseason games. Heck, give me 14 games and 2 preseason games. The season is an eternity now.

I like expanding the season to 18 and eliminating all preseason games. A 2nd bye week is a worthy idea.

I voted for 2 preseason games and 16 regular season games. No reason to expand it to 18 games. However, I think 3 preseason games would be my preferred option. Give the teams a chance to get the players a chance to operate in a "real game" environment before the season begins in order to get them ready for the tempo of the season (and in turn, reduce the risk of injuries from being "cold"). That said, we've already seen stars go down in preseason over the past few years, so having a 4-game preseason is probably too long.

I am just tired of paying full price for 2 preseason games that nobody goes to!

    To Todd,
The poll question asked the readers opinion of which schedule they thought best, not whether the reader thought the NFL would actually implement a schedule with fewer games.

Perhaps you were premature in judging the mental capacity of those of us who voted in favor of a season with fewer total games.

The minute a court rules in favor of the former players who are suing the league over concussion and other health related issues, and I believe the players will eventually win, at the very least they are looking at millions in legal fees to appeal, or hundreds of millions in damages. We'll see how eager the owners are to extend the season when that happens.

What about extend the season but add a second bye week.

thinking the nfl and the owners are going to give up revenue is asinine-thus 51% of you are idiots.
