I too loved the dragons head - but cant the beast-stick do more? It is a dragon, after all! Why isn't it more aggressive? Doesn't it bite? Can it blow fire - and if not, why not?

I enjoyed the walking stick dragon imagery as well and the voice but I wasn't that interested in why she was at the house. I mean why this particular house and why now? That's the drive that needs to be imbued in the reader.
