How could the mobile AMBER Alert system be improved?
The system should have different alarm sound/vibration than for other emergencies, so people affected immediately know the difference.
I don't have this functionality.
I am improving it myself: turning off my alert at night and turning it back on in the morning.
I want options to control how I receive notifications (making sure it’s silent during my "do not disturb" times, for instance).
I like the system as is. As many people need to be notified as quickly as possible, and they just need to get over the inconvenience.
I've disabled this function permanently -- cell phones are not the place for this type of alert.
