Should non-nurses be allowed to administer insulin shots to diabetic students?

Wow! Imagine a school secretary or even a teacher's aid who is responsible for multiple tasks during a day devoting the time and attention to this procedure. Nurses have had to double check the dose with another licensed person in a hospital setting because of the risk of dosage errors. Small amounts of this drug is all it takes to send someone into insulin shock.
