Iowa's defense has to win this game. NIU has a very mobile QB and IOWA has a very green QB. Iowa will be lucky if they do much damange on offense and will need to rely heavy on the D and special teams for scoring oppertunities. I still think Iowa will win, and will improve over the next few weeks before Big Ten play starts.
Iowa has a very tough defense with three very experienced linebackers. They played against Lynch last year so there is no surprises. Iowa's quarterback does not have to win the game; everybody does their own job and they will be victorious.
Iowa has a Quarter Back that is un tested at the college level. But, the home crowd should off set his lack of experience. Iowa 21 - N Illinois 17.
