Once again the general public is seduced by perceived benefits that for the most part are unobtainable. To allege that opposition to a law, which few if any have read presents a danger to the country, reaches a new low for the single minded . How does one accept the imposition of conditions on religious agencies such as Catholic hospitals , which provide the bulk of free medical care, knowing that the law will ultimately result in their closing?

The inherent costs built into this law, which contribute nothing to medical care-ie expansion of IRS, untrained navigators, will ultimately result in rationing of care.

The substitution of mid level providers for fully trained physicians will cause a lack of quality care and subsequent increased costs, The increased regulations will dissuade physicians from participation/

There are real benefits to be achieved such as unlimited lifetime benefits but these pale in comparison to decreased full time employment and decreased scope and quality of care.

Unfortunately, what should have been done before passing this travesty needs to be done now to preserve the limited benefits and repeal the negatives. A true and transparent evaluation and not a politically driven agenda is the only real solution. The only honest opinion was to label this a TAX and a TRAINWRECK.

It is difficult for someone without a touch stone or principles to understand a Christian centered life. Ed, when you were a child your mouth was undoubtedly frequently washed out with soap for foul language. It does not take any intelligence to be a loud mouth. "Better to Remain Silent and Be Thought a Fool than to Speak and Remove All Doubt". It is time for you to slink of to another phony job, maybe centering on a phony scandal about a phony Christian. "Phony" is now the new liberal word.

Well Ed, will you just think about returning to your show in prime time? We sure need you.... You have always spoken the truth, and brought on people who back it up... I love MSNBC and all the people on it. I don't know why the Republicans , Tea Party and now the religious right , have got so out of control of themselves. It's like these people have lost their common sense......

Robert, 5 hrs ago, the device you are talking about is from Governor Bob McDonnell of Virginia, the vaginal probe he try to intro to a bill in Virginia. It is another LIE, you dumb idiots are putting out there for the people to believe. The Southern States don't teach HONESTY anymore in their schools. Nor are the Tea Party Republicans care that the story is false, has been proven false, but the idiots keep LYING about it, over and over again. Christians believe in helping the down and out when in need. But I guess you are not one of them. Robert you are a NON Believer. Obamacare will provide insurance to 30 million more people, no more pre-conditions, No more CAP on lifetime coverage, Children can stay on parents insurance till 26. Preventive check ups, free for most people, lower drug prices. Remember Romney had the same coverage but lied about it. Republican Party is nothing but LIES. They believe in one thing, MONEY!!!

I cannot understand or agree with the assertion that any of the so called "Christian conservatives" are really Christians.

They , obviously, have not read the Christian books in the bible called Mathew, Luke, & John... where these disciples quote what Jesus said.

They (the so called Christian Conservatives") are false prophets that have attached the word "Christian" to their name & philosophical claims in order to fool other good people... whether those good people are Christian or of other good faiths.

I hope enough people wake up and vote in 2014. People were asleep in 2010 when these scoundrels were elected. Now we are all paying for it -- voting, women's rights, Obamaccare, you name it. I am sick and tired of Republican hypocrisy being bestowed on the American people. They are not concerned with the issues encompassing the middle/low class Americans. They would rather shut down the government for self gain. So selfish, so rude, so obnoxious

I just read Robert's comment. His claim that "Obamacare requires an implantable device on everyone to get healthcare" has been debunked as urban legend. There is no such requirement nor mention of an implantable device in the Bill.

It is not only dangerous to our country. It is hypocritical because it completely is in opposition to the teachings of Jesus Christ according to the Holy Bible. It is sad that fundamental Christians claim that no one can interrupt the Bible but you must take it word for word, They then interrupt the Bible to fit their hypocritical political ends.

Ed, you are one of the few on cable TV shows who will not allow the Conservatives to just come on your show and spout their nonsense. It needs to stop now. They have put out so many false statements about the ACA law the American people don't know who to listen to anymore. They scream loud and put out this junk 24 hour a day on TV and radio with only a few like you to defend the law. I know many say the Pres and his team have not done enough to get the word out about all the good parts of this law. But the Dem's who believe in this law need to help spread the word too. We can do a lot to get out the facts and I am using the 10 points you had on the show today to take on the next person who tries to say the law is bad.

It's dangerous and hypocritical to the Christian faith. Countless times in the Bible, Jesus spoke that God judged us on how we treat the least fortunate. Fighting against Obamacare is tantamount to murder, because they are planning on taking heath care from the sick, the poor, and the disabled.

Its amazing how REPS , who claim to be Christian , do not get about HELPING those in NEED !! If they cared so much , and still did not like the AFFORDABLE HEALTHCARE (Obamacare) , then WHERE Is There AFFORDABLE HEALTHCARE Plan ????!! They Do Not have one , ask your local Republican , in Office or running for an Office !!!!!!!!

I hear many complaints from the right wing . They even have the nerve to use God as the basis to form their opinions ( guess that's why the Bible says.."not everyone saying Lord, Lord ) Funny..I hear no complaints from insurance companies ( the real "SATAN") why? because now more people can be insured and therefore receive more drugs.. Nothing will help us until the power is removed from insurance companies...

These so called conservatives are seriously brain washed by the Jerry Springer of News "fox". They just don't realize that the fox news channel is not news it's just a ratings channel, broadcasting the most outrageous stories from around the globe, grabbing peoples attention, and after these people are hooked by those stories they then believe everything the crappy shows tell, them including things that are bad for them and their fellow citizens like repealing Health Care.
Then the breaking news sounds cause all these viewers like zombies in a room all turn their heads at the same time to focus on the TV it's amazing to watch check it out sometime...

i live in n.c where we now have our worst governor ever i have supported president obama as a volunteer in both of his campaign i feel he has done a lot for our country i really get upset angry when i hear all of the republican lies mistruths and bull i will b glad when all these crooks and money grabbers r voted out

  • Robert - 11 years ago

Obamacare requires an implantable device on everyone to get healthcare. IT IS IN THE BILL!!! That is why they had to pass it to see what was in it according to Nancy Pelosi. This is why Christians are against it Ed. Get educated.

  • Mark - 11 years ago

It is absolutely dangerous. First and foremost they are attempting to stop tens of millions of Americans from receiving healthcare. Second, Obamacare will and already does reduce premium costs. With our former system we were paying far more than citizens of other industrialized countries for healthcare. It will also cut our deficit according to the CBO.

Then there are the cascade of lies about Obamacare from "death panels" to "people won't be able to see their doctors" to "it's going to kill women, children and senior citizens", one of Michele Bachmann's latest lies.
