During 2011, the latest year for which FBI statistics exist, 12,664 murders were committed in the United States. Of those, 8,583 involved the use of firearms, 1,694 were committed with knives or cutting instruments, 496 were committed with blunt objects and 726 murders were committed with “personal weapons”, which are defined as hands, fists, feet and other body parts. During that same year, several million law abiding gun owners committed no crimes.

Had these millions of gun owners not possessed any firearms, there still would have been a mind-numbing tally of murders committed with guns. Throughout history, and across all national boundaries, whether possession of a firearm is legal or illegal, one fact stands out– criminals always have guns. Consequently, law abiding citizens are the only people affected by laws that restrict or prevent gun ownership, which brings into question the true purposes of such laws.

People please use common sense. A sign banning guns is an open invitation to any criminal. What better way to say "hey, nobody in here is carrying a gun, I can rob this place!" Think about that people BEFORE you start something that can hurt innocent people.

It seems to me our people need to study there history all over again. A ban on guns will not stop the violence, it will only increase because you will be giving the power to the criminal, Look at all the reasons Gun bands have ever been tried. Remember the Revolution, How about the American Indian, Blaming the firearm for how a person would use it is just just like blaming the dog for the way it is trained.
P.S. Dontt be putting a felon as a high risk people it is so easy to be charged with a felony these days, did you know you can be charged with felony menacing for giving the finger, if they say they felt fear you just got a felony record. I hope i have made my point,

Criminals will not listen to the laws and will come in shooting with or with out signs which then puts all the responsibility and liability on Starbucks because they wouldn't let the law abiding citizen carry guns to protect them selfs.

Nothing in Starbucks policy needs changed, their choice to follow the state laws is sensible

Concealed Carry License holders are lawful citizens, that have had training and passed a background check with law enforcement. I'd be more concerned about the felon, child molester or whomever else you may be standing next to in Starbucks.
