I tried to vote twice, but it wouldn't let me. What kind of liberal site is this?

  • thnk101 - 11 years ago

The rep. are voting no because it is a civil war we the American people don't need or want! obama could have used the last few weeks to go back and take a class in economics and ethics and come back and start telling the truth and working on the economy! Why is he now giving weapons to terorist? Can't trust this president.

Really Ed? Republicans are against getting involved in Syria because it is a completely wrong move. This is not our war. And if you've been paying attention to the news, neither side of this conflict is the "good" side. The U.S. is not the world's policeman. The public has not seen the so-called classified proof. The GOP representatives who are against the war are against for it's own demerits. It has nothing to do with anyone hating the president. And just because someone is opposed to the current president doesn't equate to them hating him or being racist like you always portray.

WHENEVER I STOP AND THINK ABOUT THIS QUESTION, I ASK MYSELF, WHAT WOULD ROBERT C. BYRD AND TED KENNEDY SAY? THEY WOULD SAY "NO, TO WAR AND FOR US TO STAY UT OF THE WHOLE MESS." WE DON'T NEED ANYMORE WARS. WE JUST ENDED THE WAR WITH IRAQ, WE DON'T NEED ANOTHER ONE. WE NEED TO HEAL FROM IRAQ AND SEPT. 11. TOO MANY PEOPLE DIED AND WAS KILLED BECAUSE OF THIS WAR. WE NEED OUR SERVICE PEOPLE HERE IN AMERICA, NOT FIGHTING ANOTHER WAR STARTED BY SOMEBODY ELSE. WE CAN'T LET INNOCENT CHILDREN AND PEOPLE DIE EITHER. IT'S NOT OUR FAULT THIS LUNATIC WON'T LISTEN TO REASON. JOHN KERRY NEEDS TO KEEP HIS NOSE OUT OF IT. THEY ARE NOT OUR PROBLEM. ALL THESE COUNTRIES STARTS A WAR THEN THEY WANT THE US TO COME IN AND FINISH IT. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

The temptation to always think the worst of the Republicans is common with those of who have been lifelong Democrats. It is just as wrong as their tendency to always think the worst of us. Tell me, how should a republican vote if they really believe that the United States should not get involved in Syria?

  • Kathy Thiesing - 11 years ago

I hate the republican party they only care about themselfs. They have money, insurance and so on and so only. They vote against Blacks and the poor

Reg. Syria.....you are talking to the "WRONG" People! Want to get the Real answers,,,talk to THE MILITARY
talk to the guys that are going to "Pull the trigger" and see how they feel !

I think Sec John Kerry and Hagel deserve a Medal for all this "Talking' THEY DID JUST TO CONVINCE THE "AMERICAN CONGRESS " THAT DOESNT SEEM TO UNDERSTAND THIS! AND WE LET THEM MAKE DECISIONS FOR US!!!!

What most Americans don't seem to understand is that all these counties in the Middle East are NOT LIKE AMERICA. .they don't have what we have...they don't live like we live here ...most don't even have electricity
or a stove or air conditioning.. live in huts and shacks .. Just look at the way these people dress like they still live century's ago...they are "Controlled " by Religion and "Dictators" that keep OIL and support money for themselves instead of developing their country and people
Most live in Poverty with NO WAY OUT! Look what they have now... a country that has destroyed all housing! That's why we need to help them
People in these counties want nothing more than to just live like most of us do "in freedom" without Dictators who rob and destroy everything!
That's why Assad is fighting...he ids hiding MILLIONS for HIMSELF !

I don’t believe Kerry is a liar. His record shows that he is a man of integrity. A response against Syria is necessary.

  • Getalong2013 - 11 years ago

It would do no good for the US to get involved in a middle eastern civil war. You can't fight religion! It has been killing people for thousands of years.. It's like the Catholics the Presbyterians the Methodists and the Baptist all fighting each other because they all think they are right..

I might say yes, if we weren't going it alone. I don't feel that we should be punishing Syria. We are not the ruler of the world. I don't blame the President, I just feel that he is wrong to want to go it alone, it makes us seem like we are invading another country, just like Iraq. We have been there, done that and where did it get us.

My thought about striking Syria, is that this is a really bad idea. As I have heard it, Syria, has been armed by the Russians? If that is so, it seems reasonable to me that they have the capability to strike one of our ships, if that were to happen, and one of our ships were sunk, that would guarantee, the United States would be thrust into another Middle East conflict. No more Middle East conflicts!

does the ed show receive renumerarion from the cell phone changes????????????

Why are people calling President Obama a Sand *igger now? what does that even mean? It sounds hateful.

  • Anna Luhman - 11 years ago

If we are not going to punish Assad for violating a convention signed against chemical and biological weapons, then why not withdraw from the convention and allow countries to gas themselves and others to kingdom come? What ever happened to a belief in the morality of opposing these kinds of weapons? This dispite Reagan allowing Hussein to use them against Iran in the 1980's.

this will haunt them in the election another case of romneza

  • Cathy - 11 years ago

If it was Bubba Bush they all would be standing in line to vote yes........ If the President was against bombing Syria they would be for it.........

  • gilbert montemayor - 11 years ago

finally someone is telling the true reason for the republicans way of thinking on this issue

  • Eileen Brown - 11 years ago

The republicans ought to be ashamed at how they have treated THIS PRESIDENT !!! BRING ON THE CLINTONS!!!!

  • Mt_Ron - 11 years ago

America should stay out of Syria because there is no "good guy" there. Assad is a brutal dictator and the rebels are al quida. The gassing was horrendous but it should be the world that intervenes, not the USA. The repubs hate this president and will continue to oppose anything he wants to do.

  • Lerone Lee - 11 years ago

We may not have a choice but to get involved because if Syria
falls in the wrong hands we are still facing a threat from those weapons
being used on us or our allies..........
Remember what happened in WWI & II?????????

  • Mark - 11 years ago

Yes. Congressional republicans are disgusting. People need to show up and vote them out in 2014!

  • Deborah - 11 years ago

While the GOP has disagreed with everything the president tries to do is absolutely true, and I believe they hate the best bone in President Obama's body, I believe they are right with this. I feel America should not be the only country going into Syria. Mr. President, please stay out of Syria. Use sanctions against the Syrian Government. Please.

  • Dave - 11 years ago

the repubs would vote against air if the President were for it.
