Although the design is different, it will have a very limited appeal and will look dated quickly. I understand that Lexus is being challenged by the big German luxury sedans or in this case the luxury SUV market, Audi, BMW and Mercedes have always offered a product that not only looks different from each other but is styled in the way that is not only attractive but also lasts in time. They won't look old quickly and for someone who is spending good money on an upper product would like to have a vehicle that doesn't look dated so quickly like the Koreans are offering these days.
For years Lexus showed that they could compete with the other luxury companies however I believe that they are now losing their grip and are resorting to very aggressive styling. It won't last.
