Never - LinkedIn can only base its criteria of character and work ethic if this has been made clear in the subject's profile

Never - Social networks come and go, and you would need a huge percentage of highly skilled people to sign up

Yes I think at least the majority of recruitment will become automated and it will become an extremely confidential and profitable niche market

I think it will be a combination of the above. Surely face to face contact will remain important and that recruitment agencies will need to meet candidates for jobs even if LinkedIn is used for initial screening
