If there is no minimum wage, employers will exploit the system such as employing cheap foreign workers which does not work in favour to Singaporeans. Because of this, the wage gap in Singapore will never be narrowed, thus causing heaps of unhappiness for those who are trying to keep up with the rising costs of living.

There are minimum charge/starting fare for every good & services eg. using toilet, bus fare, MRT fare, Taxi fare, GP consultation fees, bowl of noodle, Mix veg rice , rental fees, PUB bill, so on. Low wage workers pay the same prices. How can they not earn minimum wage to pay & keep up for all essential services & goods on rising price.
