I am currently a student in the MS Math Finance program at UNCC. One of the main reasons I chose this program was the location - Charlotte is the second largest financial center in the country after New York.
The tuition is around $25k for out-of-state students.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here so far. The professors are highly knowledgeable, and I've been highly challenged in my courses.
The program now offers three concentrations - risk management, data analytics, and computational finance. I have gained programming experience in C++, Matlab, Stata, and Excel. Those in the data/computational areas have exposure to more programming.
Because of being at UNCC, I was able to get an internship at a major financial services company that may lead to a full time position when I graduate.
