This reminds me of the joke : All the parts of the body were arguing over who would be boss. The brain, the heart and the asshole.....

  • James Brewer - 11 years ago

I did vote yes--because Senator Cruz stands out as proof positive that Republicans should have a psychologist test their future candidates --as well as those who wish to purchase Large ammo clips for their (deer) rifles.

  • Amy Lynn - 11 years ago

Yes, Ted Cruz is definitely the GOP's poster boy! And no one is more thrilled about that than Hillary and her millions of supporters...Go Hillary! Best GOP candidate since Michelle Bachmann. Or Herman Cain. Or Rick Perry. Or...

Cruz and the republicans are trying to blackmail the President, the Democrats and the country. Everyone needs to call their representatives or senators and tell them this is enough.

"... for Cruz .. it's all about being on the front page of the news .. five years from now .. those who remember his name won't remember what for .. so good or bad .. it's all just an ad ..."

  • Jerome Newton - 11 years ago

"... if you cruz .. you lose ..."

  • Jerome Newton - 11 years ago

".... Ted Cruz's face may look new .. but that's only because his hood is off ..."

Ted Cruz has nothing between his ears but green eggs and ham> no brains at all!

    I weep for Texas.

I said weeks ago, another wacko, mad teapartiers!

  • katy linkjendal - 11 years ago

Oh, Lord will we never be free of these crazy, self-serving Republicrats? He's really just the latest "poster boy." There have been so many it's kind of hard to keep track of them. He's just in it for the money like all of them have been.

  • Connie - 11 years ago

I'm a 7th generation Texan. I can tell you he does not represent me or anyone in my family. He needs to be taken out behind the barn and put out of his misery. Then the rest of us could get rid of the rest of the teapubs and go on with making our state great again!

I'm so glad you are pointing out the GOP hypocrisy. This new self-inflicted mess the Republican Party once again involved in, reminds me of the self-inflicted Paul Ryan budget mess they got into then too. The budget they came up with then was so immoral and utter nonsense it sparked the “Nuns on Bus” tour among other things, and President Obama was force to make them look bad then too. And here we go again, Republicans have been so dishonest about what they labeled “Obamacare” to which I like to respond “yes, Obama do care” for so long that here at the final hours the entire Republican Party once again looks foolish (and that is really the nicest thing I can say about how they look at this point). The worst part of this ugly fiasco is how Republicans are trying to back away and blame Ted Cruz for the entire fiasco, predicament whatever you want to call it that they once again find themselves in. Yes, right now he is the idiot front man, but before there was an idiot name Ted Cruz there were idiots named John Boehner, Mitch McConnell, Paul Ryan, Mit Romney Sara Paulin, and so on and on. So the Republican Party doesn’t get a free pass now that we are at the bewitching hour and the clown car is in the middle of the room looking pretty clownish right now. The Republican Party has been acting like bratty little kids (sorry bratty kids, I don’t believe you deserve to be added to this bunch, but it’s the best I can do right now) crying and crying until they can’t cry anymore. This is not a Ted Cruz wish, this is a Republican Party wish, as usual they are trying to lie to us as if they think we don’t pay attention at all and can’t figured out what they are up to as a Party (remind me how many votes on defunding has been wasted by the Republican Party). Once again President Obama has to step up as big daddy and put the bratty kids to bed without supper, and tell them no supper until you learn to behave like adults and remember you were all sent to Washington by the American people and they expect you to behave like adults and stop trying to break and burn everything down but rather work on their behave.

Cruz is just carrying the ball this down (probably for negative yardage) for those GOP bubbas who are still sore for losing the election, the vote to pass the ACA and any other progress made under President Obama. Since they (GOP) watered down /delayed the ACA implementation, let their key donors opt out by reducing employee hours and opted out themselves, its no wonder they think ACA is a failure. They pulled the plug before the law was passed. Remember, they want the President and anything he manages to accomplish to fail. Whatever happened to "We the people...promote the general welfare and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity."???

He is in TN. Lots of Low Information Regressives and a few emotion-button-pushers feathering their own nests. Guess when you're at or near the bottom of most every meaningful ranking of states it's helpful to pretend it's on purpose.

  • seniorcitizenopinion - 11 years ago

crus is worthless, send him back to Canada where he was born!

  • stepahi rose - 11 years ago

maybe cruz should use his insurance that he receives compliments of the tax payers - to get his balls taken care of - he talks like a woman... and maybe we should also discuss native americans and their free health care. just about every town in alaska has a native hospital/clinic; if we are ALL created equal how come we all don't have free medical for life?

Reading Dr Seuss, COME ON, MAN this guy is insane.

  • john - 11 years ago

Harry reid needs to be voted out.

  • BigWill - 11 years ago

Cruz is just cruising for a fall...

  • Mac - 11 years ago

I agree with you ED. Yes we should make CRAZY CRUZ as our advertizing poster boy. As you said, they all are the same. When we were younger, me and my wife used to go clubs and dance night out. Sometimes we see a group of people who sit together and dance together. I used to say to my "These people belong to some dance club", when my wife aske , as to how did I know that. My answer was "Just look at them , they all are moving their asses in a same way"! Just like that, Ed you are correct about these right wingers . I am so glad you are back on a daily basis. Keep up ED.

  • John - 11 years ago

At least Ted Cruz has guts to stand up for what he believes. Liberals and Progressives don't have the guts to do that because they are to busy with their face up the White House's AZZ

  • Sarah Burgess - 11 years ago

While he might be the new poster boy, it's not a positive thing for the party. He won't be rid
    ing high for long.

  • John - 11 years ago

The only one's who are going to like the ACA are the free loaders who won't have to pay anything to get insurance. Whast about all the illegal immigrants in this country who go to the emergency room. Taxpayers will still have to pay their cost as well. I wish this country would go bankrupt then America can start over and do things right.

  • Sandy D. - 11 years ago

An idiot leader from Canada for the stupid party, just down their alley. He is a jerk and needs to be thrown out on his---. He is doing nothing good for our country, he is an arrogant sob and needs to be voted out of Congress!!!

  • Debblynn - Democrat, Libral, Progressive in NKY - 11 years ago

If don't like what Ted Cruz is saying "Put a sock in it"!

  • Luz Quinones - 11 years ago

Perfect poster boy! Rambling on with no results, just like the rest of the republicans. I am so tired of hearing them talk and saying nothing. 2014 is the year to clean house! I haven't had health care in more then ten years and now with Obamacare I will be able to have it and end my emergency room visits which have me drowning in the ocean. They will lose this battle!

  • Iowa'sBabyDoll - 11 years ago

I for one am not fooled by this sudden separation of the republican party from Ted Cruz. They are all in this together like a wolves in sheep clothing.

  • John - 11 years ago

Ted Cruz speaks the truth. Why should I pay for insurance and some poor person having babies they can't afford gets it for free on my dime. REPEAL the DAMN Bill. Obama gives waivers to employers but forces the rest of us to purchase health care. He did not even read the bill and is still talking about it. What an ignorant individual. And Ed don't talk about TEXAS tthis is one state you don't want to mess with.

  • Anita McGuinn - 11 years ago

I voted no, but if he is, it's temporary. After Oct. 1st, all the lies of the GOP and Tea Party regarding the Affordable Care Act will be disproved, and they will turn on him.

  • Ed Marks - 11 years ago

He has become the poster boy for what I hope in my lifetime is a dying political party. I'll tell you one thing. For a Harvard educated lawyer, he sure got the definition of insanity dead wrong. If I am not mistaken, insanity means that a person does not know the difference between right and wrong either due to reasons not otherwise specified or the person does not know the difference between right and wrong because that person suffers from a mental disease or mental defect.

  • Mark - 11 years ago

McCain brought us Palin. Palin brought us Cruz. McCain hates Cruz. Republicans went to bed with these people and now they don't know how to cut them lose.

  • Tim M - 11 years ago

republicans will lose for sure in 2016 Sen Cruz is bad news

  • Lindsay Campbell - 11 years ago

As a Texan, Ted Cruz is a F'ing idiot!

  • Caroline - 11 years ago

It takes big brass one for Ted Cruz do deny to millions of Americans something he gets for free!

  • Chuck - 11 years ago

Poor Raphael Cruz keeps forgetting he is a citizen of Canada and Cuba.

  • Mary - 11 years ago

I voted YES...I want him to be the poster boy for 2016!

  • kutlass - 11 years ago

Yeah he should pay every dime for that train wreck trash talking pile of Crap !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We saw on tv for the last 21 hours !!!!!!!!

  • Bella Nickelson - 11 years ago

I voted no, he is a pompous ass that is all about himself. He is showing the people that they do not care about only one thing and that is themselves. Republicans desire him since they will not step forward and stop this crap. The speaker of the house needs to do his job or step down to someone that will.

  • Claire Conner - 11 years ago

Ted Cruz is another in the long line of radical right-wing insurgents who want to take our country back to those golden years before Social Security, Medicare, unemployment compensation, Unions, women's rights and any safety net. He's as right wing as the John Birch Society and as dangerous as a Texas rattler.

  • Terri Purintun - 11 years ago

He is campaigning for the post, but there are still a few Republicans who can see beyond their own egos. Saner heads will prevail. Too bad!

  • Janis f - 11 years ago

I wish he would be their poster boy. That would mean a sure lost if he runs for President in 2016. Let him run and have Sarah Palin for a VP choice.

  • marie Thorpe - 11 years ago

He should pay for the air time he used, from reading green eggs and ham.

  • marie Thorpe - 11 years ago

I voted no, because he is no poster boy. And if he has to be, then he is for stupidity!

  • Lerone Lee - 11 years ago

Like it or not Repealicans, this is what you get when you ride the
