In 03' (I was diagnosed in 12/02) I participated in the trial for Novantrone. While it is now been somewhat obsoleted by other, newer therapies, it arrested the rapid progression of my disease. I was having flares every 30 to 45 days after DX. That was, until, I started the trial.
Considering my prognosis, at that time, was "Blackout Blindness & permanently wheelchair bound", I found it was worth the risk. And, it was. I'm still walking today, all these years later.
