Which of these 3 conceptual redesigns of the Vancouver Art Gallery's North Plaza do you like best?

There really should have been an option for "None of the above". The ring seems like the most functional by default, given no good option, as it would at least light up the plaza. But, I agree, it doesn't suit the architecture. A design should have considered Vancouver's rainy weather to make the plaza functional all year round. Lots of good ideas for a DRY design can be found in the comments of the original article http://www.vancitybuzz.com/2013/10/vancouver-art-gallery-north-plaza-new-design/

Are you people all that impressed by the ring of light. Most of you never are downtown after dark and FYI the Granville debauchery will not be allowed to fester in the circle of light for public drinking. Plus think of how many security cameras they will able to secretly install in that thing.

The Plalo Ring overpowers the building and does not suit the classical architecture. It makes the Plaza dominant. What about the effect of this kind of light on the people staying in the adjacent Vancouver and Georgia Hotels? Unfortunately it will probably have the most popular appeal as it is the most spectacular but turns the Art Gallery into an entertainment site.
