Sarge, I would not expected anything different from your poll. However, with people like Barry, Harry and you putting out such crap I think many Americans are beginning to see what a bunch of Socialists you all are.

Keep up the good work and many more will see what all of you represent, "SOCIALISM".

Ed; I believe the TP republicans will do anything they can to win they point, that is delaying Obamacare for Year, or doing away with it. Boehner does not have control of his caucus. It is getting freaking stupid what the repubs are doing. Lie after Lie, than blaming the democrats and President for not bargaining in good faith. The TP republicans are nothing more than Domestic Terrorist, Their crime is Treason against the Nation. Why isn't there something that can be done to stop these assholes. Enough is enough.

Since the Republicans are to blame for the shut down of government; the people should show them how to really shut down the country. Everybody should stay home for a few days; especially airlines, trains, trucking, ports, schools, etc. And because they love the Constitution so much that they carry it with them at all times; we need to amend it so that they do not get paid and lose all their health benefits as well so that every time the politicians want to play with our lives and not theirs - they can think about who their actions are affecting. All this because they hate the fact that an educated black man is in the White House? Every other country in the world has health care for their people and here in the U.S. the middle class is falling away because they are supporting the less fortunate and the wealthy through welfare and corporate welfare.

The Democrats are clearly winning the public relations war on this. The fascist sociopath Republicans in Congress are solely responsible for this mess. Hopefully, those who vote in their elections will vote them out of office at the next available election.

What sort of legal action can be taken against them? Impeachment, tried for treason, commitment to mental health facility?

    - Is there any way to find out how much money Ted Cruz made off of completing his task of shutting down the government? Cruz managed to accomplish what Paul Ryan couldn't when he tried to force his miserable budget on the American people, and for that he lost a lot of money. So what did Ted Cruz get?

    - Is the America people going to have to pick up the tab for all the money the country lost because of the shut down? The rich people who finance Ted Cruz should be the ones to pick up the tab once the government re-opens - not average American who didn't get a say in this ridiculous decision and is alrady paying the price for the shut down.

The ACA is yet another bill with good intentions in mind but is actually just another scheme to get voters to continue the self serving interests of those who do not know how the financial world works. "Here, vote for me and I will give you money, food, and I will also throw in the promise to supply your general welfare! Now now, don't get your panties in a twist. Lets allow those who are disabled to collect from the social security fund... which has been borrowed from time and time again till even it lives paycheck to paycheck.
Government is not the solution. Government is the problem.

When you raise the minimum wage, the price of everything goes up. Causation of corporations ill will can be traced to the 14th amendment guarantees corporate personhood. Which is deranged cause it was supposed to be a civil rights bill..... And guess who forced that amendment in it's final writing? Liberals.
Morality cannot be imposed on people by law, the spirit (of the) rule of law must be backed up by morality in each individual.

Why are unjust wages and human dignity made, because unjust and indignant people are allowed to make choices and are protected by law (financially). devaluation of the dollar continues cause of inflation based on borrowing. It is a hidden tax. Austerity is devoid in the financial world and they are dumping this hidden tax on you. Giving benefits to poor people is a very noble effort. But when you are keeping them poor cause of implementation of laws that are creating wealth for only a select few.... you are not helping.

Any one with a brain about financial matters on a national scale can see the truth to Fiat currencies and how all of them have failed. Yes ALL, since the dawn of time. So I can only conclude that democrat leaders are either stupid or they are in on it. Cause doing what they are doing does not make any sense. END THE FED.

Just 1 question for Mr. Speaker............. Where is your HONOR SIR!!

  • Larry J - 11 years ago

The democrats are being exposed as the real cause of the shutdown and their refusal to fund the NIH shows their total disregard for the average American. Bigots like fat Ed play to the low lifes that hate the US as he does

  • Laurie B. Oliver - 11 years ago

The Democrats are winning the PR campaign at the moment. The longer this mess continues, the longer the American people lose. The Re-thug-licans will have to learn that in a hurry. They are holding the American people hostage at gunpoint to extract political ramsom. That's extortion. Then, they have the gall to say to the people they are trying to extort "this whole mess is your fault because you will not pay the ransom." It's time for them to grow up, cut the crap and get this country going again!

Send all those rich farmers, with their tax break refunds on their farm-harvester tractors overseas to help the poor work farm lands. and make them own them for at least five years. Instead of getting Government breaks for buying a new one each year.

  • Ed Marks - 11 years ago

Although I think the Democrats are winning this unnecessary action taken by the Repuglicons, I just hope the stupid people in these Gerrymandered congressional districts who now have a Repuglicon rep will finally get smart and toss their Repuglicon reps.

The Republican party is eating itself alive; showing bad timing in there last minute photo op attempts and demonstrating spectacular hypocrisy by blaming security personnel and park rangers for implementing the very thing they voted for ; the government shutdown. None of it is working except in the confused deluded minds of a tea party constituency that thinks Obama care and the Affordable Care Act are two different laws

  • Vish Ayengar - 11 years ago

As a matter of fact, Republicans have turned the shutdown into a PR war against the Democrats, and their ploy is heavily backfiring. We Democrats feel hurt by the suffering of the people caused by the shutdown forced upon us by the Republicans in the Congress. By the way, someone should bring a broom and sweep that newcomer Ted Cruz off the Senate floor.

  • Delmarie Fieldhammer - 11 years ago

The Republicans are a bunch of thugs and manufacture one crises after another. I hope their saner constituents vote them out the next time. I will never vote for a Republican because even if one comes along and says all the right things that I care about, the baggage of the Party is way too huge to overcome.

  • Crimson Jones - 11 years ago

The Republicans look like a bunch of educated dim-wit (dunce). They cut education from HeadStart to College grants. There policy is "A nation uneducated is a nation easily controled". There should be a way for us the American people have the ability to have a called vote to get the Congress out of office when they do not perform. They have some nerve telling other Countries about Democracy.

  • Dawn Dettling - 11 years ago

Of course the Dems are winning! All the Repukes can do is lie about it, which is something they are all good at doing. I hope the Repukes pay for this in 2014 and 2016! Keep up the good work Ed at least on your show we all get the TRUTH not like Fox!

  • Stephen - 11 years ago

GOP winning because Democrats WILL fold as they always have.

The fact that you have to bring it up is proof of that.

There has been a noticible paucity of posts on FB from my conservative friends which indicates to me that at some level they know their party is dead wrong on the shutdown. Hope they have the courage to vote the tea party extremists out.

  • Peter Cortina - 11 years ago

I love it when I hear Americans have been asked if they love Obamacare and they ususally say no, but when asked if they like The Affordable Care Act they ususally say yes. The problem is that Americans listened to what Republicans are sayin, but even the GOP don't know what is it that they hate about the Affordable Care Act.

  • Pam Espinosa - 11 years ago

I think you are asking the wrong question. The question is: Who is losing? The answer is of course, the American People.

  • Mark - 11 years ago

I believe the Dems are winning. Republicans are looking crazier and crazier by the moment. More and more people are learning of the benefits of Obamacare and simultaneously realize Republicans have been lying to them.

  • Phil - 11 years ago

If the Dems were winning the PR war, this would be over by now. I fear the continued intransigence of the Tea Party and their fellow GOP hostages will result in people shifting blame to the Dems, because Dems have never been good at sticking to the talking points. And America has never been good at seeing through GOP lies and spin. Keep spreading The Truth, Ed!
