Chris Escobar dropped out and ran True Street and Won for an astounding 11th victory. Great car, great driver, but he pulled out of KOTS.
it's funny how they cancelled the drag race portion of the event and chris escobar's SVO has gone a full second faster than everyone else (8.08 at 171mph this morning) go figure!
after reading through some of this i am very happy i voted for escobar's svo...between this team miller and myers or whatever you guys are a pack of whiners pissing and moaning about something that doesn't even matter...if escobar's svo or jared's shelby doesn't win this shit is rigged anyways. Their all street cars but I don't see any of these other cars even holding the back tire on the svo or the shelby fact.

Not sure Gene. I watched on and off today and have not seen these mysterious massive jumps in numbers, just a few here or there. It could be that Kenny scared them off, or maybe it was the others... Yeah funny how since ive posted that the voting on myers has slowed down to a very minimum just one vote here and there dont worry soon as no ones watching again itll continue . I am quite sure of it theyll miraculously appear over nite like the eyeballs have nothing to do late at nite but to vote for him!
Well... I watched, and refreshed my browser thingy since I actually know how to do that. I did not see any significant change in numbers... I messaged Jesse Ventura's Facebook page, but I think he was not amused, and would not offer any insight into this. Jared and Chris' numbers went up slightly, so there might be some hope in social media on a Sunday night... VOTE FOR CHRIS ESCOBAR! Maybe I should just post that on here 1,000 times tonight;)
I am watching Gene... Hell I just blasted a message to 80,000 people on Facebook to vote for Chris Escobar or Jared... I'm seeing small number changes, but nothing crazy all things considered, after all this still could just be a social media game. I'm all for juicy conspiracy theories, but please tell me KOTS is not the next "American Idol". Trying to fix the outcome of a contest that only represents 10% of the actual points earned seems a little ridiculous. Half the cars blew up at the drag strip or have hurt motors, and now they're all done in terms of competition, but surely this poll won't determine the outcome... Everyone laid down their numbers, right.
I say we enter them in the One Lap of America and just see who really has the best car, and biggest balls;)

Another thought would be for 5.0 mag to have a competion that would not include shops that do this shit for a living , make it for the person that has a different job , who has to build his or her car up over a period of time , something that is done as a hobby not a primary job ! Such as Tom Miller and a very few others that were there at this competition , people that had to put there own hard earned money , sweat , and blood into , not a shop where the lazy ass boss sits in the office while he pays his mechanics to work on his show car that their to scared to even get in to run up to the corner to grab a pack of cigs or out to get lunch ! I mean seriously its supposed to be a street car competition an everyday vehicle that you can hop in and buckle the kids in the back seat to run up to the local walmart ! I think its a fuckin joke and i wouldnt waste my hard earned money if i was tom and like i said a very few others who are just ( average joe ) to enter in such a bullshit deal ! Its gotten to where its all political bullshit and about the car shops with two or three cars entered in the same competition! And they wonder why us ( average joes) still settle our shit on your neighborhood streets.
Well if you do know how to cheat, let me know... I'll vote 1,000 times for Chris Escobar's car because he damn hell deserves more than just 2% of the votes:/
I can see theres obviously some cheating happening as im writing this cause phils votes are goin up one vote every time i refresh the page yesterday it was goin up six vote at every refresh for hours i dont think all those eyeballs happened to be voting in pairs of six all evening til pretty damn late last nite i seen tom about 6-700 votes ahead and in a matter of few hours 6-700 votes behind obviously this needs to be removed from the competition and maybe next year do something differently since its a computer and cell phone age and cheating is easily done when you have 5 or 6 people revoting at the same time over and over
You guys do realize that popular vote is only worth 10% of the score. Hell they may throw it out like they did the drag racing portion.
Let us also note that Jared's car was promoted by his company, Lethal Performance, to approximately 77,000 "potential" eyeballs and he received 810 votes. Myers car was promoted to potentially 547,000 eyeballs and he received 3521 votes. Based on averages, Jared's car did far better when you compare number of votes vs average number of eyeballs. So, my example and reasoning for the number of votes that Myers received is sound and based on simple science. If this was an actual scientific poll, it's likely the outcome would have been much different for every car. If it's a contest based on marketing and loyalty of these cars/company's followers, Jared would have won by a land slide...
I don't want to talk shit about Tom's car. It's a nice car, they were all nice cars. What Phillip, Jared, and Escobar have done are equally as nice to what Tom did. Phillip's car was probably the biggest anomaly, due to the fact it was not designed for this type of competition. I know nothing of cheating, don't care to and it's not my style. I prefer a fair fight and let the best car win... Yeah, I'm keyword savvy, and marketing is my job and I work for multiple manufacturers. Also, I have no cronies! The fact of the matter is that the multiple companies who helped Myers build his car, promoted him to their roughly 140,000 Facebook fans, and later in the day Forgeline promoted his car to their 407,000 followers of which 150 shared the post and over 800 "liked". How many of these company's followers do you think voted for Phillip? None... My guess is a lot of them voted for him. If other cheating was done behind the scenes, I have no knowledge of it. I do think it's fair to say, that if Myers was cheating, he obviously wasn't the only one. I did look at the numbers as well, but all I see is 2 cars that clearly surpassed everyone else 2-10 times over. I have no disrespect for you Kenny or anyone in this competition, But I do believe that cheating is a very strong term, and if your going to use it you should at least provide some type of proof beyond "look at the numbers". After all you are making a huge effort to discredit a competitor and tarnish his reputation. I think you owe it to Phillip to at least provide something as reasonable as the analytic that I provided above to serve as more than just speculation. I explained and provided an example of how it was possible for Phillip to garner a large number of votes between yesterday morning and late last night. You may very well be correct in all of your assumptions, I don't know and I certainly hope your wrong, but at this point the whole competition is tarnished, and Tom and Phillip are now going to be labeled the bad apples in the group. We have several people who commented here that we can thank for that, unfortunately. Seems a little ridiculous to me, after all this is KOTS, not the Indy 500...

For someone who claims to be such a keyboard jockey I don't believe for a second you don't know how the cheating is being done for your own croney. As for people cheating for Tom, watch the numbers, they speak for themselves. Look at what Tom has done to build his car then try talking more shit.
OK Kenny, I'm all ears here. I voted, it only let me vote once... If there is cheating, how is it being done and how exactly is system being cheated. I'm sure there may be a way, but frankly I'm not tech-savvy enough to understand the process by which it would be done. I saw Tom was ahead at some point and frankly wondered how, both Phillip and Tom, could be so far ahead of the others. I know a few of these cars, and Chris Escobar's was my personal favorite having seen the car built first-hand. Way more interesting to me than the "common" blower GT500's, although calling it a "street car" is a bit if a stretch... I'm going to go out on a limb here and say based on your comments that Tom should also be labeled a cheater as well. After all he did garner a unreasonably higher amount of votes than cars that were every bit as worthy, so he must be a cheater too. Right... Now that we have settled that, why don't you enlighten us all and explain how this cheating was done and how this poll was manipulated. Since you have all of the facts, I think you owe all of us here at least that much.
Hey Brad, If Phil isn't cheating then why was he getting his ass kicked by Tom so bad until last night? If you sit and watch the voting for awhile it is obvious what you or others are doing to cheat the votes.

Before any sore losers start accusing people of cheating, you should be aware that Myers had major manufacturers promoting him and the voting. We are talking about companies who have 10x as many followers as the little shops who brought their cars to compete. Major marketing efforts are hard to beat, and in this case I would say cheating is highly unlikely. And just for the record, I was the guy sitting here behind the keyboard pimping Myers out to those millions of eyeballs in social media. If you want to blame someone for Myers winning the popularity contest, you can blame me and the other manufacturers who supported him!

At bout racer if you have been watching the poles then you must of clearly seen that everytime you refreshed that Myers went up at 20 or 30 everytime you refreshed....and Millers went up 1 or maybe 2 so before you just start Miller out....also yesterday Miller was a way ahead of Myers and within 45mins Myers hit and passed him like it was nothing so check yourself before you start calling people out

The cheating is almost laughable. It is like they think just because it is later people wont notice. I hope they just disqualify Phillip Myers '12 GT500, that is the only fair thing to do at this point.
5.0 Mag - You guys need to turn off this poll. People are clearly cheating, and I honestly hope this does not factor in on who wins since it's clearly tainted worse than Alex Rodriguez's hormones. In all serious, Meyer's should be disqualified, and the voting process should just move forward from there. Phil, if you were going to cheat, you should have been more discreet than that.

Someone has to do something about Phillip Myers. They are clearly cheating. I have been sitting here watching the numbers and there is no doubt they are clearing out and re-voting over and over...the numbers are just going up way to fast in comparison to how they have been and how everyone else is moving because frankly they are not so much better that there are going up a 100 for everyone elses 1....especially for this time of night. That car does not compare to Tom Miller's. I hope Phillip Myers is disqualified!

He worked on this for 5 yrs. along with working a Fulltime job and supporting his 3 Beautiful Children and his wife Nicole was right there beside him every step of the way. If anyone deserves the King of the Streets this talented young man does. Yes he is my son and I watched over and over again until this was just the way he wanted it. It's a Gorgeous Car and he has so much to be proud of. He makes all his Family and friends alike very proud of him. I pray he comes home The King Of The Streets !! Pictures don't do toms car justice!!! Everything on his car is custom one off coated from either Matt electric-less nickel ,wrinkle powdercoat or hell even a thin coating used on apache helicopters. The fact of the mater is anyone can buy a new can and bolt some shit onto it but a true builder takes years to custom build every aspect of their ride!! And well spend some time with Tom Miller and his 00" Gt you will see and understand that his car truly is the king of the streets!!!!
