I never liked the game as I was very soft growing up. Luckily my Mother understood this an protected me from the nasty soccer players. Even to this day she lets me live in her basement, were I spend my time getting even. What's that Mom, no I haven't looked for a job today!

I find that the game is a very tolerant one. I played it as a child. Growing up as a g ay youth, I found that about 1/3 of the team shared my se xual preference. In fact, I met my partner (soon to be spouse) while playing!

Yea, as a 51 year old white guy born in Philadelphia I Love the Union. Dear Jack Meoff, oh that's clever, kind of makes the point why we are glad not to have you. Truthfully as a kid growing up I use to hear the same thing about the Flyers and how did that work out?

MLS has been around for 17 years now and has consistently improved year after year. It's a shame that we still even need to ask this questions because the fossils that talk Philly sports would rather bash the sport than learn the craze. Plus, yo Cataldi...don't bash soccer and then put Rick Tocchet on and have him talk about a sport for 20 minutes that originated in Canada.

Of course this is a major sport. It's played on every continent and in every country. It takes more stamina to play than baseball or football (which stops every 3 seconds). Plus there are no commercial interruptions on televised games for 45 minutes each half. If you don't like the game, fine - but you don't need to cop an attitude about it being an inferior game in your mind. Take that Jack Meoff!

Oh please. The team plays in Chester, Pennsylvania, not Philadelphia. It's no better than a minor league sport, and real Americans won't watch it. Now, if you are an illegal alien from Mexico, Central America, or South America..........
