The people whom voted "I do not care," are lying, they do care to make the effort to answer, if they do not care, they would simply pass the poll. Asie from that observation, I would like to state the fact that annual speeches are very important, they are a peek into the government policies, it's like an abstract of what's to come.

It *should* be an important Parliamentary tradition. But harper's sad legacy has ensured it is: a) mostly government spin; and, b) pomp that is essentially meaningless.

2 votes for "crucial". But, Constitutional Monarchy, or an elected head, is crucial. Someone has to be able to intervene if the Pols get it wrong and start of the process again.
