The child is BLESSED regardless if he prays over him or not(because he cant bless anyone anyway, only God can bless). All children are a BLESSING from GOD!!!! We have all fallen short of the grace of God, but he gives us mercy and forgives us. Why is wedlock being sinlged out, what about all the other sins we do. So with that being said, no one would be at this event if we singled out ALL sins. Love covers a multitude of faults and we should not judge, so that we wont be judged.

What sin was committed by the child? What happened to forgiveness? Who are we to say the mother has not repented of her sin - the act of sex outside of marriage? The birth of this child is NOT a sin! Show me in the bible where unforgiveness was demonstrated by Christ to support this policy! Since there are no little sins or big sins -- will Pastor Winans refuse to demonstrate forgiveness to his family member who was convicted of a Ponzi scheme too?

One of the question was, Yes unwed mothers are common. I don't know what that has to do with the Love of God. But their were unwed mothers 60 years ago in the Black community. Jesus was conceived before his mother was married, should he not be talked about in his Church... What happen to the love of God in some Christians.
