That was the most beautiful yet disappointing ending I've ever read. I didn't even think those two adjectives could work with each other but holy crap. I cried like a baby like the last 100 pages jesus. I could have seen it ending so much more wonderfully! Yeah it shows how she truly dedicates herself to her family and never forgives herself but to leave Tobias like that?! They were perfect!! Yes that sounds childish but I just about threw a temper tantrum when she died!!!! I just want her to somehow be resurrected in the next book. Please god please bring her back haha, well in this case pleaseROTH PLEASE bring her back!! I'm begging you!

Though Allegiant was VERY traumatizing and it didn't end the way most people wanted it to, I understand why Veronica ended it the way she did. I think the vision for the Divergent series for her wasn't so much about Tris and Tobias' relationship, but more about Tris and her relationship with her parents and the fact that she would risk anything to save the ones she loves. In the first book, when her parents died, I think Veronica Roth made it so Tris never really forgave herself and that's why she did everything she did.

    After reading Divergent: DEM FEELS!!!
After reading Insurgent: Meh, could have been better?
After reading Allegiant: VERONICA ROTH YOU HEARTLESS WOMAN HOW CAN YOU LET TOBIAS EATON SUFFER SO MUCH LIKE HE HASN'T ALREADY SUFFERED ENOUGH AT THE HANDS OF HIS ABUSIVE FATHER! HOW CAN YOU JUST DECIMATE ALL OF OUR FAVORITE CHARACTERS, ARE YOU TRYING TO TRAUMATIZE US?!

*takes a deep breath* Tris never died, Four helped her get over her fear of intimacy, and they built a family in this new factionless society. The end.

I'm just upset about what happened to this book's antagonists. I mean, Eric died but all he did was taunt 4 and Tris. Jeanine died and she all she did was start a war and try to murder Tris. But I hate that nothing happened to David, or Evelyn, or Marcus. David is the man that killed Tris, lied to the whole city of Chicago, and tried to erase everyone's memory. He did not deserve to go on how he did. He should have had to keep his memory and watch everyone shun and despise him and live with everything he'd done. Evelyn is a different story. She was a brutal dictator and she faked her death and left Tobias alone with that fiend Marcus. I don't know what punishment she deserved, but I know that she did not deserve Tobias's forgiveness so easily. And Marcus. There is so much I could say about him but it is NOT all internet appropirate. Marcus brutalized Tobias, and...and....well he brutalized Tobias. That's really the only reason no one likes him. Overall, everyone knows the ending was brilliant. Although it was very sad, it was a well doe game changer. People say they hated it and that it was terrible when we all know, good and well, EVERYBODY CRIED!!!!!!! I think that the real reason everyone is being so hard on Veronica is that we're just so upset that Tobias and Tris never had sex.

I really do not agree with how she ended the book! I fully understand it is Veronica Roth's story but you have to remember the reader as well. I could see several other endings much more appropriate for the age group reading these book. As a parent this was quite difficult to process and felt disappointed. This was the final book which was sad in itself but to have thing end like they did I think it was too much!
