I think the future should not include covering more land with this kind of small space, but continuing to create spaces that bring people together. For example, if this concept is used as an apartment, then cluster them into a highrise and leave lots of open space for gardens. The problem with so many highrise developments is the WASTE OF GREENSPACE on grass. PERFECT example, yet another Polygon development at UBC across from the hospital. Sitka, another uninspired box tower, lots of glass, looking down at a busy street corner and with all the grounds looking so sterile. Who will go out there and sit in that big open grass area. Let there be garden plots, people. We are sick of the unused land. Now, if those teardowns in Kitsilano could revert to a couple tiny houses, with the rest in gardens--okay, now we're talking.

Thats just not right at all ! Seriously people ? Has your life really gotten to the point where you work 7 days a week 24 hours a day and you don't "live" anymore but you want somewhere to sleep ? Quit your job, move out of Vancouver and live a little more. This micro-home bullshit is getting out of hand down there.
I don't own many belongings, everything I own would fit in a small pick-up truck but even this place is too small for my gear. Where would you put bikes, skis, climbing gear. Your crafting supplies, games and puzzles, or wine rack? Even with a simple amount of things ( not that we need "things" ) it wouldn't take long for you to look like a hoarder or have a yard/deck looking like that mom that gives her kids way too many toys and doesn't pick up after them. This is a serious gross project. No thanks.

This would not only be sooooo easy to keep clean but I love the idea of simplifying life and this is really all we need!

Very cool idea! You guys have used a small space very effectively. My biggest complaint is the size, though. 10' x 10' is just plain tiny. I would find this design more attractive if it was 15' x 15' or 20 x 10'. My current lifestyle wouldn't adapt well to a microhome. For example, I love to cook and entertain, and this space isn't well suited for that (I expect this isn't marketed to that kind of lifestyle, though...). However, I also spend a lot of time outside of home traveling (mountain biking, snowboarding, etc.), so it does appeal to me that the space only includes the important amenities.

    A couple of questions, though:
    1) How is the space heated?
    2) Where DOES the shower go?
    3) Does it meet current building code standards?
    4) Would it be customizable? (Just something to think about...I understand that customization = cost)
    5) Are you considering other (bigger) models?
    6) Could it be modified to include a laundry area (not in a 10' x 10' model, but maybe a bigger one...)? This would be nice to have.

Good job, and thank you for working on this project. I really hope it is successful!

Where's the shower This house is perfect for one person but they need a bath or shower other wise aside of a sponge bath there's nothing. I would like it a lot better if it had a shower nice layout though.

My only concern would be the "construction" costs once the product has arrived. If it is going to add 25 g to the cost of housing for set up and additional supplies, rain barrels and solar barrels were mentioned, ( all though still very cheap) that 25 may put it out of reach for those who need it most. Information on potential additional costs, where exactly it could go, if special licensing is required for setting this up, does one need to buy a plot of land or would your company have per-bought acreage where people can set up their new micro homes (this is in consideration for mostly established countries and areas)?

It all sounds like an amazing idea and I am all for it but I am also in need of more information before I hop on board.

    Thanks.

where is said shower. These's nothing on the plans, nor in the video. Not even a floor drain for the washroom.
