THERE WAS NOT MUCH TO CHOOSE FROM.MY CHOICE WAS RYAN SANDBERG A FEW YEARS AGO OR GIRARDI.IT WILL BE UP TO THE PLAYERS TO DO THEIR JOBS AND FOCUS ON BASEBALL AND MAKE THE FARM SYSTEM BETTER.

Yea, I'm an old timer even a WORLD WAR 2 vet. I started listening on radio in 1938 and heard " The Cubs win the pennant" screamed over the airwaves. Gabby Hartnett had just hit a home run against the Pirates. I was in Germany in 1945. We had a radio and I got up in the wee hrs to listen to the world series game against the Tigers. Of course Cubs lost. I have been waiting and waiting for somebody that knows how to build a team that knows how to win. Theo and his young guys don't know. They are not the right guys.

This guy has something in common with the last guy...no understanding of Cub tradition...just as the airheads that are in the Cubs front office...sad bunch!

I've been a cub fan since the first game my cousins took me to in 1948. I was 6 years old. I remember sitting in the upper deck on the third base side. My cousins were 16 years older than me and they had their girlfriends with them. My aunt made 20 ham sandwiches and we ate and watched the Cubs play a double header against the old Boston Braves. Guess what? It's not the manager. Day baseball is nice, but when everybody else plays mostly night games and the players have to constantly adjust, they are under a handicap. The ballpark is outdated. It should be torn down and a new park built. Everything has come and gone but the ballpark hasn't had a world series since 1945.. Enough Said.
