Should Arkansas play games in Little Rock?

    War Memorial Stadium played an important role in the growth of the program. But the population of the state has shifted North and West. Razorback stadium will boast 76,800 seats thia fall, plus temporary seating and standing room only seating. War Memorial is 70 years old. It's capacity is slightly more than 54,000 with minimum premium seating. I grew up going to War Memorial for games. But since the switch to the SEC, non-conference games became much closer for fans in El Dorado and West Memphis! Money wise the numbers don't work! Had Little Rock built a new stadium twenty years ago, things might be different. I recall sitting in behind the scene meetings, listening to proposals from several possible non conference opponents, willing to play the Razorbacks annually at Little Rock. But the Central Arkansas power brokers wouldn't hear of it! Now many of them have passed. The younger ones became accustomed to the comfort and sheer beauty of Razorback stadium and quietly accepted reality...
