How do you pray?

Much like Linda, my prayer life consists largely of yammering pretty much incessantly at my very best Friend, who never leaves my side and is never too busy or too bored to listen to me. Also like Linda, when I am praying, I sometimes get responses to my prayers, occassionally as a thought that comes to my mind but more often as a sort of understanding that I can't really describe or explain. I sometimes get the same kind of thoughts and understandings when I read scripture, too, so I suppose you could say that my reading is praying, as well. In any case, my praying is not formal at all except when I'm asked to pray in a group ... I have to be careful then to stay focussed or my prayer will wander all over the place like my yammering with my Friend does when it's just us communicating.

I talk to Jesus as if He was sitting across the table from me. We have this personal relationship that it does not feel like I am praying. I have a conversation with Jesus and if I listen I sometimes can hear Him talking to me.
I have more difficulty if I am asked to pray out loud in front of people. I have a hard time finding words because usually the person who I am following Has said everything I would have said or they are such good prayers.

My prayer time is usually while I am driving to and from work everyday. Many time the shower is where I pray. And I also pray throughout the day when I get prayer requests via text, phone calls and social media.
