Does your child get a flu shot?

People are misinformed about the flu shot. It does not prevent getting the flu. It's purpose is to reduce the symptoms & length when you get the flu. Scientists have proven that the flu shot is actually more harmful than good. Children and the elderly suffer the most (more die) from complications from receiving the vaccine. The government has known about this for years but, has yet to tell its people the truth.
My husband works in the local ER & has to get the flu shot every year. Every year he gets the flu, is off work & we are without pay. I think since his employer mandates all their employees get the flu shot, the employer should pay the employee for the time they are off sick with the flu & not punish the employees by making them use their earned pay/time off. You can't just go find another job. Especially these days.

No...I nor my children don't get the flu shot. We have not had the flu yet. They don't even know what strain its gonna be before they make the vaccine!! Its an educated guess!! Too many coincidences and too many questions to mandate people to take something that they don't know for sure is that effective and not causing serious side affects...people should be allowed to choose encase something seriously does happen to that person...they chose, they know the risks. Instead it should be mandatory that people who are sick..stay home!!! wear a mask!!! They are the ones spreading germs!!!!!! I see it all the time in the hospitals, dept stores, groceries stores. They cough, sneeze wipe their noses and don't use hand Sanitizers.

I think the government needs to get off of it's high horse and worry about problems they have that are more important than taking away another right of ours. The next thing you know they will be forcing us all to be injected with a microchip so they can keep even more tabs on what we do in our lives. I know for a FACT that the flu shot causes your immune system to weaken which is why people actually feel so ill after they receive the shot. The teenage boy also came to my mind. I want to start throwing "F" bombs as this makes me furious (not the "F" I was referring to btw). They can't even guarantee that you won't get the flu as it only protects you against a strand that they "THINK" will be the worst. It's just ridiculous and Mayor Bloomberg is a radical person who doesn't know what he's doing in my opinion. I'm so upset and I don't even live in NYC! Arggghhhh!!!!

The more we give up our rights the more we lose them! They have no right to make the flu shot manditory. I have never had one and neither has my daughter. We don't intend to start now!

I think it's disgusting how the government is taking over every part of our lives. My children have never gotten flu shots and I don't think they have ever had the flu. They may have had a virus from time to time but they have never had the flu. I'm 51 years old and haven't had a flu shot since I was 19 when I joined the Army. I had the flu once since then and that was 13 years ago. Wash your hands people! Wash your hands!
