Ed may want a head coaching position but it would have to be the right fit not just a "head coaching position". He would be a great fit as the defensive line/Co-head recruiting co-ordinator and could literally build a fence around Louisiana and stop the flow of athletes from Louisiana to Alabama. For those of us who watched the "Iron Bowl" it was painful to watch AU stars Greg Robinson (LT) and Travon Reed and AL's Landon Collins play in the game. We have already lost Cam Robinson (#1 LT) and Hootie (#4 Safety) to Alabama that LSU was recruiting hard. Our state is #1 in producing NFL talent per/capita and we need to keep the elite athletes at home at LSU. Ed is an incredible recruiter and motivator!! I was told that he was offered $400,000/range for the defensive line/recruiter position before accepting the same job at SC when Lane Kiffin made him a 12th hour offer.

If he doesn't receive the right Head Coaching position for him, then LSU should definitely offer Coach O, as he could definitely improve, an already, great recruiting staff; which is key to continuing success @ LSU!!

There's a lot to like in Ed. But also a few question marks.

His oldest son works as a student assistant in the football office at LSU. I've talked to Ed, and he wants a head coaching position.
