What do you think machinists will decide when they vote Jan. 3?

So, buffenbarger, the so called international IAM president, who should be looking out for the Machinist's best interests, is trying to shove this so called extension down our throats. How pathetic is this joker? And, some of our respected members who have been through more than a few of these negotiations, think, and I couldn't agree with them more, that buffenbarger has made a deal with Boeing, that if the IAM can get this asinine extension passed, then Boeing will allow the IAM to unionize South Carolina, who's members by the way, from what we have heard have been wearing union t-shirts on Fridays, And, If that happens who benefits? Of course, the international IAM who will be able to line their pockets even more, because, now there will be more dues coming in. Shocker! The international IAM doesn't give a damn about the Machinist's, all we are is wallets to them. And though I have lambasted Mr. Wroblewski, the local IAM president with some scathing e-mails for trying to get us to approve the first draft, I sent him another e-mail, letting him know that he has regained back a small amount of respect for standing up for us on this present fiasco by not even presenting it to us for a vote because it was a farce. So, thanks for nothing, buffenbarger. Hopefully, the members will see this for what it is and vote NO!!

There is nothing fair about this contract "offer". A true "contract extension" would be same numbers, not lower. This is a dictation not a contract. Those are main factors of rejection. The decent good worker is loosing. The big corporation is winning. Economic slavery and duress is still very much alive. Big corporation exploiting decent good worker is very much alive too. So is greed. Fairness is long dead. No matter what happens, this is not really a fair contract. And I wanted to work here since I was 5, made it here when I was 24. But it is not really a decent company to work for the good decent worker. Management here always does whatever is opposite of helpful, and any ideas the make sense are outlawed. Other states and other good decent workers will find that out too, or have already.

It's sad that people with no vested interest in our company can opine the way that they do. I am proud to be part of this Machinist's Union as well as being part of the Boeing Company. The difference in working
for a large company versus a small company is that you tend to get lost in the shuffle. I can not just walk
into the CEO's office and talk about a pay increase or other forms of compensation. I am lucky enough
though to have a union to represent me. Through the union comes a contract that outlines my
responsibilities as well as the companies responsibilities. It is usually fair and equitable. Our current
contract doesn't expire until 2016. As far as the contract extension, we have already voted NO. The best
and final offer from the company doesn't address the concerns for the initial NO vote. Boeing has already
made their decision, right or wrong, and we are being manipulated by the company and the media
for outrageous tax concessions for the benefit of the majority shareholders and the board of directors.
Middle class America is disappearing at an alarming rate. Conceding to this offer only furthers the demise
of Middle class America. And if people want a "RIGHT TO WORK" state, maybe they should move to
North Charleston to build 3/4 of an airplane a month. But I think that I will stay here in Washington state
and build the best airplanes in the world. Our company and our customers will see the value and agree.

since I'm near the end of my career I'm not going to be hurt either way but this offer should not be accepted out of respect of the machinist before my time and after I'm gone I will vote no, Boeing needs to improve the offer. allow people to retire with dignity

I will be standing strong with my fellow union Brothers and Sisters and VOTING NO to this pathetic attempt to manipulate the voting by having the vote happen BEFORE all our fellow members are back from the holiday break.
Boeing has already stated that the offer is no longer on the table because our local 751 was unable to hit the shop floor and in good faith tell us all to accept this offer. Why is the National IAM getting involved? POLITICS! Plain and simple. Boeing gave a lot of political contributions before the last offer went out that we voted on and before the State of Washington gave Boeing a 8.9 BILLION dollars in tax breaks. REALLY?!?!?! Why should we give up so much when it is obvious that Boeing is making money and willing to spend so much? Boeing just called for a 10 Billion dollar buy back of stocks!!! Really?!!?! And we're going to give them more? VOTE NO

Where will your ego work when your family-wage paying job is offered to a non-union, non-entitled, non-Washingtonian that is MORE than willing to work for this compensation, job security, and retire with a 401K instead of a pension?

I will be standing out there willingly voting NO again. This is no real offer this is a take THIS piece of dung as it is being shoved down our throats. Some may call if it an offer but is nothing more than legal bullying by McNerny
