A police chief posts firings on twitter. Is it fair?

    I'm not sure why you think this would be wrong. The media always seems to report on people who have done something wrong before they have been convicted or with your own twist on the facts that often show the person in a bad way. I guess it's ok for news people to do this but not anyone else.

    police departments and officers are accountable to the public as elecyed and appointed officials. it is all public record and disclosed openly at city council meetings, by law. the public just doesn't attend. this is simply a different forum..

    i do believe that this is a great idea and should be adopted here in England as for myself i have never heard of any police officers being dismissed for what ever reasons as these people take an oath to protect and serve our community, if then they are found to be dismissed for lets say corruption then the public need to know as if you cannot trust the police who can you trust
