Are you happy about having expanded instant replay in MLB?

I agree with Kinsella .. the human element is part of what makes baseball the great game it is. When I looked at the list of situations that may require instant replay, I was shocked. A force out? HBP? Seriously? I agree most MLB umpires do an excellent job. If you really want to make the game more fair .. why not call runners advancing to 2B SAFE when the middle infielder is 2 - 3 feet off the bag when they have the ball in their glove? This automatic call drives me nuts. I too am happy to see Selig go .. it bothered me when he wanted to contract the MN Twins when he was still part owner of the Milwaukee Brewers; talk about a conflict of interest. MLB is the greatest professional sport but marketing it has been a disaster.

Absolutely hate to see this happen. The rate that umpires miss the calls listed is very low. Instead of replay, how about a little common sense. Let plays like the Gallaraga call be straitened out by having the umpire who feels he may have missed a call ask for help from the other umpires on the field. Football has become stupid with all the delayed emotion while we wait to see if a catch or a touchdown counts or not. It is basically hold your horses crowd, we will let you know in a few minutes if you want to cheer or boo. Baseball is great because of the human element. Please drop this before we have to all sit around and wait for them to confirm the obvious. Or I guess we can all sit through a few more Kiss Cam's and other mindless junk that non baseball fan's seem to eat up. Yet another dumb move led by the idiot Bud (thank God he's is leaving) Selig. Very sad day for the game.
