Should Alastair Cook stand down as England captain?

As an Australian one could ALMOST feel sorry for Captain Cook.
However having been in the UK during the Ashes series I have no sympathy for the English team.
Their arrogance lead by Captain Cook made being in the UK an unpleasant experience.
Their selection of players for this tour was a little odd. Why would they bring players who were injured and not match fit to face Australia. Able and fit players were left behind and they believed bringing extremely tall bowlers would be the key to success. Have they not heard of Dennis Lillee who was just 5'11" ?
Captain Cook has been totally outplayed by Michael Clarke in the leadership stakes and I look forward to the next Ashes series in the UK in 2015. Next question is why are there no tests in 2015 being played in the North or North East? The Home County grounds and players seem to get priority. The class system is alive and well in the world of cricket in the UK.
