Yea, my other option is just blow it up again cuz this situation is the first of its kind... A failed rebuild, leave it to Edmonton to mess up a rebuild. Trade all the "core players" except Taylor Hall and you'll get somewhere.. maybe.. probably not.. lol. Anyways, GO FLAMES GO!

I wouldnt trade anybody as substantial as eberle until you know who you are drafting.

Trade their pick for any 2 leafs not named Phaneuf or Kessel, ...ah make it three

I'm with normmm. We will have a redefined D next year. Klefbom may also be there.

I put other only because I don't believe you limit the options to Eberle. I would trade anyone on the team for the right return.

I believe Hemsky and Gagner have to go. I would trade J Schultz before Eberle if you could get the same return for him.

My keeper list in order of preference would be something along the lines of Hall, Nuge, Nurse, Yakupov, Perron, Eberle, Petry, 1st round draft choice, Marcinin, Gordon.

Obviously these players have different trade values so it would depend what you could get for them.

Nurse and Ekblad would change the D composition completely... use Gagner and Hemsky as chips to upgrade another D spot. Send Smyth on his way... keeping him only blocks the developement of someone like Pitlick.

Other...trade Hall, just as valuble, feel his career is going to end early with injury.

Go for Dustin Byfuglien and Zbynek Michalek and for a guy like Martin Jones (keep Bryzgalov or Scrivens). Get a guy like Shwan Matthias (Center) and/or Wayne Simmonds.

Trade Arcobello, Gagner, Hemsky, Marincin, Klefbom, Belov and Bryzgalov or Scrivens. If Eakins will stay, trade Yakupov for a 2nd Line Center (above 6.2).
