If on Friday the forecast for Monday morning is -20, should the schools cancel classes?

Schools should not send out a "closed" notices on Friday for Monday but they maybe should remind families that the situation will be monitored all weekend and a decision will be made later in the weekend. A forecast such as this should be watched but can change over the weekend. Likewise, they should not come out on Friday and say that they will definitely be open on Monday in case the situation changes. (Minneapolis said Weds afternoon that they would be open on Thurs only to change their mind a few hours later.) Fridley district sent a message this afternoon that they will be deciding later in the weekend. I thought that was a good way to handle this touchy situation.
