I'm currently on Tysabri and have been for about 2.5 yrs. and more leisons showed Feb of 2014. My neuro thinks I'm nuts because I have so many issues. Hey Doc, guess what - we're all different.

More than 100/more than could be counted. And that was on my first ever MRI, the one that precipitated me being sent to a neurologist and subsequently being diagnosed three years ago.

Agree with Fedup - around a QUARTER have symptoms and nothing on MRI - the medical fraternity MUST take this into consideration as the symptoms are horrendous yet these patients are made to feel like frauds which, on top of this horrible disease, is disgusting. Especially as stress makes it worse. No wonder MS patients suffer depression and feelings of hopelessness. Please listen to all MS patients as no one in their right mind pretends to have this horrible disease and very very few people are so desperate that they pretend to have it.

findings of MRI: extensive multiple foci: extensive white matter disease.

1% shown as zero, 17% as don't know and other as 8% - this means approx 26% may not even show lesions i.e. a quarter of patients show symptoms and no lesions. If this is correct and indicative then the medical world needs to listen more to patients and not just rely on MRI's as these symptoms are scary and there is nothing worse than feeling a fraud because of all the pain and symptoms and yet the MRI's show nothing.

I have had MS for 28 years and have no idea. Is it really important to even know???

Reports only stated "Massive, Multiple Lesions". MRI's look scary!'

I saw my MRI done on Monday. It looked like there was a lesion all around the outside of my brain. I don't know what that means though!
