I think Reach had a great wave based mode, you could customise how you wanted the game to play out. If they introduced what Jaleen said, but gave it the same element of customisation like firefight, i'd be even more thoroughly in love with Destiny.

I would like to see a new take on the wave system. I want to see something that grows organically that I can't ever seem to predict. I don't want to be able to tell my friends, "hey, this is how we do it until this wave, then we..." I want the waves to feel like I'm in a warzone. The classic 2 army battle. I want our troops (guardians) to start on one side of the playing area and the other faction(s) to start on the other side, and we engage each other. Specialized troops and "tanks" and large reinforcements and things like that I want to take me by surprise; come in between waves even. Just something that does Destiny justice as being different. If you use waves, take into account different types of real world waves. Study them even. For instance, look up "rogue waves." and make one type of wave that mimics this in game. It would change things dramatically. It is technically still a wave, but it is also extremely different. There are plenty of other wave "types" out there that have yet to be used in a video game. If the wave system doesn't pan out, I have plenty of other ideas Bungie, so feel free to contact me.

Nah if alliens would attack they wouldnt attack in waves lol then i would die from laughing so hard they can build a space ship but are attacking in waves? If you want to win you need pure power or you need to be sneaky

HURAH!!!!! That would be so much fun!!!! Who wouldn't want to smash aliens over and over again?! Wave mode is the reason I still play halo reach!!!
