I should play lead. Not to knock anyone who showed up. But this role might as well have been made for me, I fit a late 20s fit. Taking the chance on this one
I do consider all the ideas you've introduced on your post.
They are very convincing and will definitely work. Still, the posts are too brief for beginners.
May you please lengthen them a bit from subsequent time?
Thanks for the post.

The only one I can think of to play the lead in "Star Wars Episode VII" should be OBVIOUS to everyone. Someone who is NOT KNOWN (Mark Hamill wasn't very well known when he played Luke Skywalker, in fact, except for Sir Alec Guinness and Peter Cushing not many of them were well known, at least I don't think they were). MY CHOICE to play the hero lead Jedi in "Star Wars Episode VII", a fan of "Star Wars" since it began in 1977: ME. J.J. Abrahms choose me, please. Thank you very much, sir.
Tom Hiddleston. I would also cast Ralph Fiennes And Idris Elba in supporting roles. I could probably think of many other names but these are a few for starters.

I feel that as this new trilogy of one of the greatest movie franchises ever moves forward i believe that the new lead should be a new face. I have had the pleasure of working with an actor by the name of Adam Gold who i feel is more than capable of handling any role he is given and would be a wonderful choice for the new face of the Star Wars franchise. I will provide a link to his website with all of his information below and i hope you consider him before making your final decision

I have been a long Star Wars fan, since I could watch movies. For this new line of films, you need a unknown, not an A-lister but an actor that is A-lister quality. I have had the honor of working with someone that I feel would bring so much more to the franchise. Adam Gold is that person. Please rethink your decision for the face of these films. Here's a link to his Facebook acting page for more information and proof that you should turn your attention to an amazing actor.

Yeah. Not kidding. I'd kill this shit, and from a performer standpoint, not just as a fan-boy.
But seriously...
Can we knock off the UK boner for "just a tic" (as our friend across the pond might say).
Star wars is the AMERICAN EPIC!
For example:
A Song of Ice and Fire aka Game of Thrones is written by an American author, yet the show is populated with Europeans. Only 2 Americans have appeared on the show, Peter Dinklage and Jason Mamoa, who have played two of the most popular characters on the show.
Now... not to knock British actors AT ALL, but... come on Variety!!! Your name should be a given that this list is bullshit, given it's lack there of.
If Star Wars becomes the same as GoT, it could be a major travesty. Having an encyclopedic knowledge of Star Wars and the Expanded Universe, yet no idea where the story is going, given J.J.'s penchant for parallel universes, we can, at the very least, assume that the main character is the offspring of either Luke or Han and Leia. Which leads us to ask the following questions:
- Are all of the aforementioned actors from the original trilogy American?
- Yes.
- Are we over the novelty of a British actor capable of pulling off a non-regional American dialect?
- HELL YES!
- Given the tradition of Star Wars and casting unknowns (barring Hayden Christensen and Jake Lloyd, because we all know that George was unwell, i.e. Jar-Jar & Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull) it should be such.
- The casting and production team put together a multi-national cattle call and there wasn't ONE PERSON from that which made this list?
Seriously Variety.
Fire whoever wrote this article. Because it's pretty much the BIGGEST load of shit I've read on the subject, and boy have I been keeping up on it.
However, If I were to buy into this travesty, I would give Jesse Plemmons, and only Jesse Plemmons, a thumbs up, but that information is only for those that make it to the end of this epic rant as if it was scrawlled across their screen before the huge disappointment that you are obviously trying to instigate.
After you fire this idiot the posted this bullshit poll, give me a call. I'd be happy to take their job and do this story some fucking justice.
