I loved the story of the broken pinky as I think the person telling the story exhibited the utmost emunah and trust in Hashem by taking a "normal" and frustrating set of events and seeing how Hashem was behind everything. Its much easier to see Hashem with a big open miracle such as surviving after an accident etc, but it takes alot of internal vision to take the ordinary and see how it is really extraordinary! I also think this relates the closest to the purim-like miracle which was of this nature of hester panim... but of course they are all wonderful stories too!
