Wow, finally we have a great pool league that listens and take advice from the players that play the game. All players should play the game to the best of their abilities and if the handicaps seems to be a little flawed, voice your concerns for the masses to hear your comments for a majority that agree for a change. "WELL DONE TO BOB AND AL"!!!!!

I belive that players should strive to better themselves, always. Why TAKE AWAY from good pool playing?

Agreeing with George about a couple of points he made,, you are looking to build a more sophisticated handicap system. This in turn allows for sand baggers, which hurts a system. So it's hard to please everyone.

If you are already handicapping the better players so toughly, especially against other good players, then there ought to be chances to break and run a few racks to make up the handicap.

    1) 95% of the players aren't going to break and run out anyway, so it isn't a great advantage for them to break.
    2) The ability to sink the 9 ball on the break and win the game is totally luck, so it should be evenly shared.
    3) The point of having a handicapped tournament is to allow lower-skilled players to have a chance to win; if there is a break advantage, letting the better player dominate the breaks goes against that idea.
    4) For the best players, when they play a B or C player, having to win 5-2 is not enough of a handicap to give the lesser players a real shot at winning anyway, so giving them the breaks also seems against the egalitarian ideas of the World PPA.
