How much do your children know about their ancestors?

I can not answer the question to your poll, since I have no children. But thinking back to how much my numerous cousins and I were told about our family, I have to say our grandparents told us virtually nothing about themselves and nothing about their parents. The only ones we learned were about, were those that our own parents knew about and that, unfortunately, was very little. So sad! As a result one cousin and myself are determined to learn as much about the family as we can and share as much family history, that we can. We are now the oldest generation and we have very few left from previous generations to ask. Those, that are left, know little. Knowing who your family were and where they came from is too important not to document for future generations.
