In my view this poll is deliberately misleading. Is the Legends Football League a legitimate sporting competition? The answers are yes or no. Both of the statements you have picked can be true. The girls can be athletes and it can also be about the "glitz and glam."

The sad reality is that these women ARE athletes (I have seen some of the shorts from the US comp and those girls are fast tough and have a great set of skills) but that doesn't legitimise the sport. If one of our australian sprinters enters an egg and spoon race that doesnt legitimise it as a sport.

I dont think anyone can deny the fact that the "legends" football league is all about the lingere. Its a shame that women get paid more to play in their undies then they do to play for australia, in a legitimate sport. Go watch some of the womens Rugby union or league (or even tag or touch) being played around the country, those girls are also athletes and no one is out there watching them. Dont kid yourself that the spectators are at the LFL to watch the quality of the game.

What a shame they couldn't dress them properly.
